August Amplified: A whole month on Pixelfed (the excellent federated Instagram alternative)

A little initiative of my own, #AugustAmplified is simple. 31 days, 31 posts, all on PixelFed.

Every day in August I'll share a photo. Music, fitness, local life, tech, privacy, whatever's happening. And it'll all live on Pixelfed - an open, federated platform instead of a proprietary one (looking at you Instagram!)

PixelFed is federated so you own your identity. No ads, no tracking - a chronological feed and it’s open-source. You see what I post, in order with no AI deciding what reaches you.

Instagram makes money by extracting your attention and selling it to advertisers. Whilst I have a (very) small presence on Instagram, I’ve chosen PixelFed as my go-to social photo-sharing app.
